My Lipstick Collection

In honor of National Lipstick Day, I'm sharing my lipstick collection on here. I may consider myself a girly girl, but I'm actually not that into makeup. I don't really wear or own a lot of makeup. I only wear eyeliner and lipstick, so of the two cosmetic products, I own more lipstick.

I love the effect lipstick can have on your entire look, whether it's a bold lip or a subtle nude. I started wearing lipstick my sophomore year of college, which was about four or five years ago. I actually deciding to try it out after a bunch of elite gymnasts started wearing lipstick at USA Gymnastics meets to match/go with their leos. I wanted to channel my inner Aly Raisman and Kyla Ross, so I went to Target one day and bought two e.l.f. lipsticks to see how I'd like wearing the product. I wore lipstick once or twice as a kid when I was a flower girl and didn't like it, so I wanted to try a more wallet-friendly lipstick before I decided how I liked it.

Obviously, I ended up loving wearing lipstick and now own 14 different ones, which I'll show and tell all about below!

Kylie Jenner Velvet Liquid Lipstick - Party Girl

Liquid lipsticks are my favorite, and I've always been interested in trying a Kylie lip kit. But I never wanted to buy them online (if I could even snag one before they sold out), and they're a splurge compared to how much I normally spend on lipstick. So when they started selling them at Ulta, I decided to finally give it a try and got this coral Kylie lip kit.

I used to have a coral lipstick, but it wasn't the best, so I decided to give this coral Kylie lipstick a try. It's from the velvet collection, so it's matte, which I like. (I don't like glossy for whatever reason.) Honestly I've worn it only once because I've had some trouble figuring out how to best apply certain colors. I guess because of how tan I am and the natural color of my lips, it's been harder for me to evenly apply lighter and brighter colored lipsticks. But this one applies pretty evenly. The lip liner is great and definitely helps with application and staying. I'm for sure going to try to wear this one more before summer ends.

ColourPop Disney Designer Collection Creme Lux Lipstick - Jasmine

I love the Disney Princesses, so when I first heard about ColourPop's Disney Designer collection, I just had to have one of the lipsticks. I chose Jasmine because she's one of my top three favorite Disney princesses, and I love hot pink. (Shoutout to Broadway's original Princess Jasmine, Courtney Reed, who also loves hot pink and a bold lip!)

I really didn't need another hot pink lipstick because I already had three before this one, but I got it anyway because Princess Jasmine. In fact, I actually ended up with three of these lipsticks. I bought one for myself, and then my sister bought me two more for Christmas. Now I have extra from this limited edition collection.

This isn't my go-to hot pink lipstick, so I've worn it only a few times, but it has a nice color. Because it's a creme lux lipstick, it has a nice texture and doesn't feel like it's drying out your lips. It's not as long-lasting as my other lipsticks, but it stays on pretty well throughout eating and drinking and things.

L'Oreal Infallible Le Rouge Lipstick - Unending Kiss

L'Oreal's Infallible Le Rouge lipsticks used to be my go-to lipsticks before I tried liquid lipstick. What I like about these lipsticks are their matte finish and staying power. They last through eating so long as you're not like eating something that's literally dripping in tons of grease. I've worn these while eating burgers and pizza. Some of the color came off, but when I was done eating and looked in the mirror, it didn't look like any had come off at all. So this is a great long-lasting matte lipstick if you don't want a liquid one.

This is the lightest color I have of this lipstick. I like to use this for my more subtle, neutral, and earthier tone outfits. Even though it's lighter and has less pigment than my natural lip color, it covers my lips really well.

L'Oreal Infallible Le Rouge Lipstick - Tender Berry

This L'Oreal one is my darker nude/neutral lip color for when "Unending Kiss" is too light. I use this one a lot in the fall. It's honestly like my actual lip color but better.

L'Oreal Infallible Le Rouge Lipstick - Forever Fuschia

Of my hot pink lipsticks, this is my least bold and bright. It's hot pink, but it's a flatter color overall and is also my go-to hot pink in the fall.

L'Oreal infallible Le Rouge Lipstick - Eternal Rose

Before I tried liquid lipsticks, this was my number one bright hot pink. I'd wear it a lot in the summer and spring. It just has such a nice bright pink color without looking like it's neon.

L'Oreal Infallible Le Rouge Lipstick - Persistent Plum

I don't own a lot of dark colored lipsticks, but this one is my favorite. When I first got this, I wore it a lot in the fall. Since then, it broke and started getting melty and soft, so I I can't even really twist it up out of the container much. But I just use a lip brush to apply it, which honestly is how I would apply all of my non-liquid lipsticks if I had the patience, because it applies much more precisely that way.

Wet n Wild MegaLast Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipstick - Rebel Rose

Wet n Wild's MegaLast Liquid Catsuit lipstick is my current favorite lipstick. It's the first liquid lipstick I tried because I had heard good things about it and wanted to try a new lipstick. It's long-lasting and doesn't try out your lips even though it's also matte. The pigmentation of the colors are all great, and it's just such a good deal for the price. They cost less than $6!

I bought this shade to be another option for my light nude color. When I wear it, it can look like I'm not wearing any lipstick because it's pretty close to my actual lip color. My mom once asked me why I wasn't wearing lipstick when I was wearing this. But I still like to wear it anyway, and this provides an even color. This is nice to have when I want to wear lipstick and think something subtle would be best.

Wet n Wild Mega Last Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipstick - Give Me Mocha

Give Me Mocha is probably my favorite nude lip color I've ever had. It's not too light and not too dark and is really versatile. I've worn this particular lipstick with so many different outfits and colors that I'm nearly out. The natural color makes it a go-to for when I want to wear lipstick but am not sure which one would look best or which I want to wear.

Wet n Wild Mega Last Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipstick - Pink Really Hard

Here's another shade that I've had some trouble applying well and evenly because of how light it is. With lighter colors, it's easier to get an uneven application. Pink Really Hard is definitely lighter than my actual lip color, which means it looks splotchy if I don't apply it evenly. And if I apply too much, it feels too heavy and dry. But I've figured it out, and now I can wear this nice, light pink for spring and summer.

Wet n Wild Mega Last Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipstick - Oh My Dolly

This one is my favorite of all the colors and lipsticks I have. I wear it a lot, mostly during the summer, because it's such a bright and bold pink. It really pops and goes well with a lot of different clothes I wear. And I hardly ever have to reapply it when I go out and wear it because it stays so well, even when I eat burgers and pizza!

Wet n Wild Mega Last Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipstick - Missy and Fierce

Anyone who wears lipstick should have a classic red, because well, it's classic. I wear this for all kinds of occasions, from everyday, casual things like going to the mall to going to church or to a party. This red lipstick has served me well and will continue to do so until I have to buy a new one.

Wet n Wild Mega Last Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipstick - Hex-cellent

I wanted to buy another dark lipstick, and to be honest, this one ended up being much darker than I thought it would be. But I don't mind it. I have some fall clothes this would go well with. I think this is actually the most recent Wet n Wild lipstick I've bought, and I just haven't had many opportunities to wear it since last fall didn't feel very autumnal. So I'm looking forward to wearing this more.

NYX Glitter Goals Liquid Lipstick - Cherry Quartz/Red

I love glitter, and when I discovered there's glitter changing lipstick, I knew I wanted to try it. So when I found this one at Target, I was excited to try it. So the thing about this lipstick is that it doesn't start off glittery. When you apply it, it looks matte and maybe a little sparkly depending on how you applied it and how much.

So to make your lips glittery, you rub your lips together (like I awkwardly do below) and the glitter starts to show up!

So this lipstick went from red to a sparkly reddish pink. It may be hard to tell from the picture below, but if you look closely, you can see more shine in the middle of my lips compared to the first picture I inserted above the video.

So here's a close-up that lets you see the glitter better. Obviously, it's hard to make the glitter show up in the corner and very top of your lips since it's hard to rub your lips together in those areas. So most of the glitter shows up in the middle. It's not super long-lasting, but I have worn this a few times through eating and drinking water, and the color stays relatively well.
