Fashion Friday: My Favorite Avengers: Endgame Premiere Looks

Typically when it comes to Hollywood's best in fashion, people think of big awards shows like the Grammys, Oscars, or Emmys when a ton of the top celebrities in the world are all in one place dressed to the nines. But with a movie as big and star-studded as Marvel's Avengers: Endgame, I knew celebrities were going to slay the fashion game on the purple carpet. So in honor of the epic, long-awaited crossover event sequel, I'm sharing my favorite looks from the Endgame premiere.

Pictured on the right, Don Cheadle sported an awesome deep purple suit. I love how the material and the color work together to create differing shades of purple to really add some depth to the solid colored jacket and pants. Cheadle kept it simple with a black T-shirt underneath and some clean and crisp white sneakers, which add some contrast but still let the purple ensemble shine.

Meg Donnelly

Fun fact: Donnelly is the only person featured in this blog post who hasn't worked on a Marvel movie. Anyway, this shiny sequin mermaid/unicorn-esque strapless high-low dress is so much fun and is a stunner. It's actually by my favorite bridal designers, Hayley Paige, and I just love everything about it. The big holographic sequins add so much flair and color. The high-low hemline added even more to the playfulness of the dress, and it's just so much fun (for the lack of a better word)! This dress is like the embodiment of a party.

Chris Hemsworth

Blues, purples, and blacks were definitely popular on the purple carpet, and I think Chris Hemsworth's navy paisley print suit is m favorite suit of the night! The navy and black combo combined with the sheen of the fabric and the paisley print itself create a really exquisite and cool look. It's got depth. It's got color. It's got texture. And even though it's a printed suit, it's not overwhelming and crazy and doesn't look like too much. It's a nice change from the typical solid black, navy, or gray suits we typically see guys wear.

Scarlett Johannson

Overall, this dress is pretty simple, but it does the trick. With the super sparkly dress and the infinity gauntlet jewelry on her left hand (I love a good accessory and reference!), Scarlett Johannson was literally a shining star at the premiere. There's even a bit of depth going on with the dress as the crystals at the waist create a band that resembles a belt to help create a nice silhouette and shape. Plus, the leg slit is a nice little touch to play it up.

Brie Larson

Oh I just love this beautiful lavender dress! The color is just gorgeous. It's great for spring, and Brie Larson looks fantastic in it. The plunging neckline and leg slit allow her to show some skin in the maxi length gown, and the ruffles/folds near the waist add some detail in addition to helping accentuate her waist and create a nice silhouette. The satin-like fabric looks fabulous and gives it a slip nightgown feel without actually being one. Last, but not least, her infinity stone jewelry is on point!

Gwyneth Paltrow

I love a good high-neck moment, and Gwyneth Paltrow rocked this one. The turtleneck and the short hemline pair well together, and the jacket adds a sleek sophistication to the outfit. Sometimes turtlenecks and high necklines, especially when there's a really big detail there, like with the big ruffle here, can make it look like the person is just uncomfortable and his/her neck is being suffocated in fabric, but that's not the case here, and I think that's pretty hard to pull off.

The collared top paired with the sequined maxi skirt with a slit is an outstanding combination of more functional and structured clothing and more fun and daring clothing, and it works really well here to create a good balance. I love the sequins on the skirt as they add contrast to the monochromatic look in addition to shine, and the floral-like design at the bottom of skirt also adds some contrast as well as a beautiful detail.

Sebastian Stan

Sebastian Stan's outfit for the premiere was simple but very clean and sleek. The light blue suit is a beautiful color, and like I said before, is a fun departure from the typical black, navy, or gray. It feels very fitting given the spring season, and this particular shade just seems very sharp. The white T-shirt underneath the jacket really pops to create contrast, which I also think is great for the season. Also, the gray oxfords (I think? I can't really tell.) pair very nicely with the blue.

Like with Sebastian Stan, Taika Waititi's suit was a beautiful color, perfect for spring. I feel like the color in this particular photo may be a little off, but it's a nice light purple that's very refreshing. I especially like his pops of black and white from his shirt and tie and colorblocked shoes.

Letitia Wright

Talk about a power suit! This one is awesome. It may be monochromatic with all the silver, but it looks so cool and so chic. The silver color and the material of the fabric work well together to create depth in the clothes themselves and an overall sleek, modern vibe, which is very fitting for Letitia Wright since she plays the super smart and tech-savvy genius Shuri. Her outfit may not have sparkles or sequins, but it certainly did shine!
