Fashion Friday: Labor Day Weekend Haul 2015

If you go shopping a lot, pass stores a lot, or just get a lot of promotional emails from stores, then you'll know that businesses use every holiday as an opportunity for a sale to get people's money. Labor Day is no exception.

Usually, I go home for Labor Day weekend, and I go to the mall with my family. But this year, I didn't go home since my family just came down to visit me and my sister the weekend before. It felt a little weird to not go home and shop, so my sister and I just went shopping here in Champaign instead since didn't have much to do and it may be the only chance we get to go to the mall this semester. And while I prefer the malls closer to home that I go to all the time, I didn't waste my time at the mall.

Victoria's Secret PINK

PINK is one of the only stores I'll splurge at, because I think it's worth it, especially if it's part of their collegiate collection. No one else has the same cute Illini clothes they have! So when it came down to choosing what Illini PINK piece of clothing I wanted to splurge on, it was a little tough, but I managed to make a decision.

Forever 21

I pretty much decided the minimum I was going to spend at F21 the second I walked into the store when the lady at the front gave me a bright green paper that said free $10 gift card with $50 purchase. Luckily for me, I actually found $50 worth of clothing that I actually would wear and not waste since I'm trying to be more thoughtful about my purchases.

This was the day right after I published part one of Where to Shop for Clothes on a College Girl's Budget, so I thought I should take my own advice and not skip out on the clearance racks. I found some good deals in there as it was, once again, buy one get one free.

I found this coral blazer in my size for less than $15, which I thought was great, especially since I need to get more professional clothes. It took me a little while to find something else in the sale racks to get free, but I found this cute halter crop top. I have a lot of floral stuff, but I don't have anything like this one, and I was getting it for free, so I thought why not?

Although that crop top is for summer, I did start preparing for cooler weather with some comfy sweaters!

I've wanted a knit sweater with lace trim for a while now, so I was pretty happy when I found this one.

I also took my own advice from my latest Fashion Friday when I bought this sweater. I spotted a purple tag and scored a very versatile sweater. I don't currently have a cardigan in this color yet, but I need one, so I was lucky to find this for only $16.

What good deals did you get shopping during Labor Day weekend?
