What I Want to Read: Fall 2015

A few months ago, I did a blog post on the books I want to read over the summer since that's when I probably get the most reading done since I don't have anything to read for class. All of the books were read except for one. I've never set a reading goal for myself before, so it was pretty successful.

This is the first year I'm doing the Goodreads 2015 reading challenge, somaking lists of what I want to read and when I want to read them will help me accomplish my goal of 15 books. And now that summer's over, it's time to figure out what to read this fall.

Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell

When I found out that I was going to read this book for my creative writing class, I was pretty excited. The assigned books are a big reason why I took this creative writing class. I heard about this book earlier this year, and it's been sitting on my Goodreads 'to-read' shelf for a little while now. Now I'm finally getting around to reading it, and it doesn't even feel like homework when I'm reading it, because I actually do want to read it!

We Were Liars by E. Lockhart

Like Eleanor & Park, this is an assigned book for my creative reading class that I've wanted to read. I haven't heard much about this one, but it seems pretty intriguing to me. I've never really read any mystery/suspense young adult novels before, so I'm excited to read something new.

Live Original: How the Duck Commander Teen Keeps It Real and Stays True to Her Values by Sadie Robertson

I've never watched Duck Dynasty, but I'm a fan of Sadie's. Her words, whether heard in a video or read on a screen, are delightful. I also own a lot of her Live Original stuff from Dayspring, like her Scripture Shareables and a bunch of her school supplies. Since I appreciate her words, why not give her book a try?

Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn

I don't know when I first heard of this book, but right before the semester started, my brother bought it and asked me if I wanted to read it. So he let me borrow it as long as I finished it before I left for school. I ended up not starting it at all (and I'm not really sure why), so I guess I'll just read it when I'm back home for Thanksgiving break.

What books do you want to read this semester in your free time? Or is anyone else lucky like me and actually wants to read some of their assigned books for class?
